Reflection
Ezekiel 16:1-15,60,63 or 16:59-63, Matthew 19:3-12
“Unity comes from God”
In today’s gospel passage, some Pharisees went up to Jesus and asked Him whether it was against the Law for a person to divorce His wife. Jesus was very clear that God unites, never divides. Thus, since the beginning of time, God has created human beings for unity, not separation. Be it in the context of marriage or any other relationships, we have the capacity to welcome one another, to love and forgive one another and to work for reconciliation.

In whatever state of life we are in - as singles, married or religious - we are called to a daily conversion where we put aside our self-centred egos and let God’s love transform us from within to become like Him. Let us remain united in God so that we can be united with one another.

Question for reflection:
1) How can I allow God’s love to be the unifying factor in the way I relate with others in my family, at my workplace/school, in the parish, in my community?
